"Encaustic is an ancient technique of applying a medium of warm beeswax and resin to canvas creating a luminous surface. I fell in love with this technique and have adapted it to encompass digital imagery printed on silk applied to a wood surface and altered using natural pigments, wax and textured surfaces created with vintage wooden stamps."
